This building in the Poet’s quarter was renovated with a green emphasis. Tenants’ gardens were created at the ground level, privatising part of the outdoor space. Instead of ground floor balconies, terraces with front gardens were created that face a shared courtyard. The private gardens are bordered by a plant trough and hedge. The trough additionally serves as a bench along the path of the courtyard. Along the street side, the theme of the ‘garden plinth‘ is continued by means of shared, elevated front gardens. The design adopts several thematic elements and materials from the refurbished projects directly bordering it, which gives the Poets’ Quarter the distinct character.
