The typology and positioning of the new building is taken from the simple houses originally present on site. Consciously reduced in its external appearance, the structure is fashioned in boarded grey wood. Inside, an open staircase reaches up to the top floor, which contains a classical division of rooms based on the requirements of the family. The living area on the ground floor has been conceived as a continuous space with an open plan.

The building is built with Holz100, a certified ‘Cradle-to-Cradle’ glue-free wood construction system. The high quality wood construction combines good insulation properties with the heat retention capacity of a solid building shell. As a construction material, wood has been proven to promote health and guarantees sustainability and minimal environmental impact.
