'GlAmour' is an exhibition of contemporary jewellery showing 10 contemporary artists selected by Olga Zobel. The concept of the exhibition architecture contrasts the opulence of the richly ornamented and decorated historic rooms of the Villa Stuck with stacks of brightly coloured industrial transport boxes. Indirectly lighted vitrines were integrated into these stacks. Despite the radically different origins of the industrial boxes and the artistic and handcrafted interiors, a dialog arises between these contrasting elements. Ornament and painting are in dialog with patterns and colours originating from functional considerations. It is a dialog between cultural traditions and contemporary use, similar to the one lead by the contemporary jewellery artists through their work shown in the exhibition.

GlAmour with a capital »A«— putting the accent not he essential and important deep feeling of love. Which happens to be part of the phenomena of glamour. Glamour is not something superficial. It is something profound. That is what this show is about.

The artistic jewellery of our time wants to be an expression of personality, self-expression and intellectuality. The objects are meant to consciously decorate and shape individuality. They trigger communication by leading the wearer to an artist - Giampaolo Babette (Italy), Robert Baines (Australia), Peter Chang (Scotland), Karl Fritsch (New Zealand), Gabi Dziuba (Germany), Daniel Kruger (South Africa), Gerd Rothmann (Germany), Philip Sujet (Netherlands), Robert Smit (Netherlands) and Lisa Walker (New Zealand) - are among the international trailblazers of contemporary jewellery.
The exhibition "GlAmour" shows about fifty objects in the Historic Rooms of the Villa Stuck in a parcours designed by Muck Petzet Architekten especially for this unique exhibition situation. The exhibition is a collaboration with Space Solider in Cannes Sur Mer, southern France, where it was shown in summer 2014.
GlAmour is change. A permanent re-staging of the person, GlAmour is the opposite of indifference and conformity. GlAmour is protest against everyday life.
